Vegan Dinner Party
So Saturday evening, I attended Chris’s Vegan Dinner party and it was all lovely!
Normally, I am not adventurous when it comes to trying new food or go into unknown social situations. But lately I have been open. So I thought, when Chris sent out the save the date, why not?.
I will be honest, I was a little nervous about the party and trying new food with no animal products. I don’t eat the hard core veggies and was sure there will be some at dinner. And sure enough there was! Eggplant! But Chris is fabulous cook and entertainer. She set up the table beautifully and made place cards. She had a yummy spread of sweets on the coffee table of mini cupcakes (which had cute flags!) and strawberries dipped in chocolate.
Dinner was delish and made me want to cook more vegan food. I cant completely remove the meats tho, sorry. But knowing that vegan food tastes good and obviously its healthier, I can plan on making a couple of vegan meals a week. Actually, I told my BF, Kofax, that we should go grocery shopping at New Seasons, or Whole Foods, for some vegan food. Also I want to use the cute bag Chris handed out for favors (see pics!). She stamped her potato type on a reusable grocery tote/bag.
Thanks Chris for entertaining, cooking and baking the lovely food! I am gonna want the recipes for all of them.

Updated Brand for Pin Points on Flickr.
After meeting with the Jurors last week, I updated my logo and figured out my description for Pin Points.
Updated Brand
The logo would be accompanied by a map on Pin Points branding pieces (Letterhead, Biz Card, Website, Packaging). This is to reinforce the inspiration of cartography. Tag line: Create your cartography inspired fabric (shorter version, Cartography inspired fabric).
What is Pin Points?
Pin Points customizes fabric from the customers’ own pathways. Their pathways are recorded on a journal that Pin Points will supply. The filled journals are then returned and analyzed (the website could be alternative way to gather data). Pin Points take the data to create patterns and are then applied to fabric, which the customer will receive in the mail or pick up. There will be swatch book of their fabric and it will be included with their package.
Pin Points also has a small retail shop that sells goods created from the customized fabrics (totes, journal/planner covers, lab top sleeves, etc).
So yeah, I am now working on the website, and packaging. Tomorrow I should receive my fabric ordered from Spoonflower! I will have my BF make the journal covers and bag for me (he sews better than me).
Lot of stuff remaining, but doable!
